Anti-tumor effect of fucoxanthin extracted from Undaria pinnatifida

5 Liver cancer

Fucoxanthin inhibited the growth of human hepatoma HepG2 cells, arrested cells in G0 /G1 phase, and inhibited phosphorylation of Rb protein Ser780.


6 Effects on tumor angiogenesis

The study found that fucoxanthin and fucoxanthin inhibited the formation of embryonic blood vessels, suggesting that it may have anti-tumor angiogenesis effects.
