Preventing cancer risk of pets, mixed mushroom + colorless turmeric highlights new advantages

- Jul 16, 2020-

According to statistics from the Veterinary Cancer Association, 47% of dogs and 32% of cats were diagnosed with certain types of cancer at the age of 10 or more, which is the biggest cause of death for dogs and cats. More research shows that one in three dogs will develop some type of cancer during their lifetime.

Cancer is also currently considered to be the number one killer of cats and dogs. Pet care company Pet Wellness Direct has recently launched a series of pet-friendly antioxidant mushroom supplements CriticalImmune Defense. The new product also contains colorless curcumin, which claims to strengthen the immune system and promote natural cell growth, thereby helping to maintain the health of dogs and cats in the long term. What is certain is that the consumption of mushrooms continues to develop in natural health solutions. As with human health, this consumption trend is also approaching the field of pets and nursing.

To address these issues, PetWellness Direct’s new product line incorporates four types of mushrooms that promote cell development and help prevent cancerous growth:

Yunzhi Mushroom: Provide a large amount of anti-cancer polysaccharide peptides (PSPs);

Ganoderma: Contains β-glucan, which can increase the level of T cells of the immune system;

Shiitake mushrooms: provide protection against viruses, bacteria and fungi;

Maitake mushrooms: promote natural hormonal balance and healthy cell growth.

Mixed mushrooms are easily digested and absorbed by cats and dogs. Previous studies have shown that the extracts of Maitake, Shiitake, and Ganoderma lucidum provide enhanced immune stimulation compared with the addition of three separate extracts.
